It helps knowledge management teams ensure the delivery of quality content to attorneys, simultaneously enabling them to keep track of relevant content subscriptions.
Could you provide an overview of InfoNgen?
InfoNgen is offered by EPAM Systems Inc., a global provider of digital platform engineering and software development services. Powered by artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML), InfoNgen current awareness offering includes intelligent search of information across various unstructured datasets, including legal web sources and premium subscriptions. Advanced content curation and knowledge distribution management tools that drive content personalization for attorneys are also the key features of InfoNgen.
Attorneys require access to specific content on a variety of subjects that constantly change. Knowledge management or library personnel are usually the ones who come to the rescue assisting with acquisition and filtering of the right content. Nonetheless, the explosive growth of information makes it practically impossible to serve the growing needs in a timely fashion.
InfoNgen effectively solves this challenge by centralizing access to all content sources and personalizes deliveries for attorneys. InfoNgen serves knowledge management and subject matter experts with advanced tools to aggregate, filter, and distribute key information. It also gives attorneys a quick and easy way to adjust their content subscriptions or access relevant content immediately via mobile or web interface. This way InfoNgen platform helps firms to discover valuable content and personalize subscriptions for attorneys.
What is InfoNgen’s approach to offering its suite of solutions to clients?
Flexibility. Each firm has its unique culture, expertise, and their own approach to delivering professional services. We aren’t trying to impose our way of viewing and categorizing the content. Also, we don’t resell or promote any sources and therefore remain content agnostic serving the needs of our clients and processing content on their behalf and per their instructions. We are very flexible customizing our product for each client.
InfoNgen platform helps firms to discover valuable content and personalize subscriptions for attorneys
As a technology company, we have always been focusing on the advanced content processing techniques that drive intelligent search and flexible content delivery.
Serving clients in over a dozen of business sectors while doing deep text analytics of web content for over 10 years, we have accumulated a large amount of industry specific knowledge that we are sharing with our legal clients in a form of topical taxonomies and high-quality content sources.
The level of support we provide for our legal clients is another key differentiating factor. Despite the very strong technical background of InfoNgen team, we do not rely solely on technology to delivery our service. Human intelligence remains to be the most valuable, especially when it comes to information processing. That is why our content support team is really the one that takes the quality of our service to the next level. We are proud to have a very experienced and talented support team that takes the burden of onboarding sources and managing content away from our clients, so their knowledge management team can focus on other higher value tasks that bolster firm’s expertise. Thus, our clients often treat our support team as an extension of their knowledge management team.
Could you provide a customer success story to substantiate your offerings?
Absolutely. Here is a common example for us. The head of knowledge services in one of the top international law firms approached us with a challenge. Their regional offices were using various tools to serve their information needs. As a result, their content subscriptions weren’t efficiently utilized, and the overall quality of their current awareness services suffered. With implementation of InfoNgen, they have streamlined current awareness process gaining control over distribution of content assets, expended their access to legal content on the web, and improved quality of alerting services. At the same time, they were able to give additional flexibility to their regional knowledge management units to tailor content consumption for their fee earners.
Even though large international firms are often the ones who harvest the most benefit utilizing InfoNgen capabilities, our clients that represent much smaller firms are also able to dramatically transform their current awareness processes despite the chronic lack of knowledge management resources. For example, one of the midsized law firms was puzzled how to deliver high quality newsletter personalized for each attorney with only two people managing the firm’s electronic library. They were already overloaded with requests coming from attorneys and pressed to deliver content within a short deadline. After setting up content distribution via InfoNgen, one person was able to serve over 600 attorneys with personalized content spending only 1-2 hours a day monitoring delivery process and adjusting content distribution to the needs of recipients.
What’s on the horizon for InfoNgen?
We are committed to bringing the latest technology to help our clients. They are accustomed to receiving continues improvements in our content analytics, growing web coverage with high quality sources, and new features that enhance intelligent search capabilities.
This year we are also launching a new generation of our web interfaces for both attorneys and information specialists. Our goal is to further advance user experience. We are also grateful to our clients for contributing to the product development process by providing their feedback. Thus, we continue to innovate bringing legal current awareness to the next level.
